Should guitar cases be as pretty as guitars?

Maybe guitar cases should be just dull and black...maybe they are just not important enough to be pretty and we just like having dull black boxes around us.

wow that case is amazing!!! I really like the streamlined sleek look it has. just looking at the shape of it I can tell its really solid too. It also looks like it would be really comfortable to carry, which is probably one of the most crucial and difficult things to find in a good guitar case. keep up the good work!

oh yeah i forgot to ask some questions... do you plan on making your cases in a "one size fits all" format, say, so they could accomodate several different types of guitars like a fender strat or a les paul, in one case model, or do you plan to have custom cases that fit perfectly to individual types of guitars? If you eventually market this i think it would be an enormous success. I think most people would instantly choose your new type of case over any traditional type on the market. what do you think would be an estimated price of your case if it ever came to stores?

It's great to hear you like the design - and you are right it is a really strong case and good to carry. The long handle allows you to move your carrying position so that it balances for different guitars.

Yes it is a one size fits all - it will take LP, Strat, Yamaha, Ibanez - about 20 popular electric models.

Pricing is dependent on where we manufacture - I want to make them in the UK (where I am based) and in the US (to save cost of trans atlantic shipping) - but these are way more expensive than making in China.

At the moment I am reluctant to quote prices until I have some firmer idea of the all the component costs and tooling costs.

I want to make cases that are as strong as
Calton's but much lighter and with a significantly lower price tag.
